The 2008 Northern Woods Short Story Award will be accepting entries through December 31st of 2008. Short stories of up to 3000 words will be considered. All short stories must be centrally related to the noted thematic element of this year's contest. Submissions that are not apropos to the listed theme will not be considered, nor will those received after the deadline of December 31, 2008.

-Deadline for submission is December 31, 2008
-All entries will be judged and scored by a 3 member panel
-$10 entrance fee to be payed via Paypal Button below
-Top 3 entries will receive financial awards
-Top prize expected to surpass $250
-Prizes to be determined by total number of entries
-Entrants may submit only 1 story of no more than 3000 words
-Winners to be announced on January 31, 2009
-Winners will be notified via e-mail and listed on the website
-All entries must be previously unpublished poems
-No simultaneous submissions, please
